Summer meal ideas

Because seriously – who wants to put the oven on? Or even take too long cooking things?

Not me, but I’m pretty lazy.

Anyhow, if you’re pressed for time, or just want a relaxed approach to dinner when everyone’s hot and frazzled and tired, here’s a few ideas that don’t take long, don’t need too much heat, or can be done on the barbecue outside. I actually wrote a few down so I would not have to struggle finding non-oven things for dinner and thought maybe you guys might like some inspiration too. My kindness knows no bounds.

Now fetch me my margarita.

I couldn’t agree more, with this heat it is way to hot to light an oven and unnecessarily heat up the house….I try to have lots of salads and something I can throw in the frying pan as that doesn’t heat the house up……I don’t know about anyone else but I tend to lose my appetite when it’s really hot….

I do too! And once I start cooking and it’s hot I get all frazzled and crazy. It’s hard to stay calm when you’re steaming!

Well I’m the Willy Wonker who made pasta bake in 35C heat the other night. I almost had to have a spliff just so I felt like tucking in. So yeah, a list like this is in order! Spanks :)
