A word about sponsorship.

Sounds weird, doesn’t it? “Sponsor Veggie Mama” kind of sounds like I’m doing a fun run and you’re pitching in $1.35 or whatever else it is you have in your purse when I come to your door.

In reality, it’s just a bit of my sidebar given over to your business/service/blog. Some of you have asked for it, some have suggested I do it… but I didn’t think I wanted to. I loathe messy sidebars and didn’t really see the point. But I was just thinking about myself – not about the people who might actually want to share this space. So I poked around a bit and saw that sidebar advertising actually could be pretty cute. Like here, and here, and even here. Not mismatched and ugly and not in keeping with the blog’s overall theme. Duh, Stacey.

I have opened up a few spots, not many because omg this isn’t a catalogue, you know, for those who would like one. They start at 20 bucks a month, but I can totally do you a deal if you email me with what you need.

You know I’m into fairtrade, handmade, local, sustainable, ethical, environmental, small business, organic,  and ALL OF THE BUZZWORDS. Because I think that’s where cash should flow and support should go.

Speaking of support, a portion of any profit this blog makes is always donated to Foundation 18, the orphanage in Bali that does for their local community what they cannot do for themselves. I am a monthly sponsor anyway, but if I ever get a sponsored post or whatever, I send a bit extra their way. If you need to know more, I’m super-happy to outline how it works and how much of your money goes there. I am a window pane, people, I ain’t got nothing to hide.

I have stats available if you want ’em, I just haven’t had time to organise a separate page for them yet. But ask away!

Please let me know if you have any questions/issues. As always, I value your input, and want you to enjoy yourself here.

And if you want to claim a spot for yourself, click here.

Much love, bitches.

Whilst not related to this post, I do like your blog. I came across it yesterday in the search to move my family in to a more vegetarian life style. Translation: do it in a way that they may not even notice, lol. That and I wanted an australian resource, as I don’t get great results from converting overseas recipes. So thanks for your cute and “homey” blog.

oh hey, that’s awesome! I think I’m a reasonably good resource for this, as I always think of veg food through the eyes of non-veg people. I am slowly learning to embrace tofu and other things, but for now we eat what won’t freak us out. Mind you, it’s been about six years and we’re still eating that way! I’ve gotta get more into chickpeas or something.

Are they all filled up now? I’ve been having huge issues getting Veggie Mama to load, I don’t even know why, I even tried different computers. Oy. Now I can’t get back to the sign up page. It’s probably just me being Little Stupid.

No there’s still space! What a poo. Someone else was having trouble too – it even blocked MY IP address and I couldn’t see it but everyone else could! Wanna email me your IP and I’ll see what’s going on?

dude, I think you do it well. I also think it’s good you always value your readers’ opinion on the subject, and make sure they are both told of what’s going on, and offered an avenue for dialogue. Beetleshack FTW!
