Win a family pass to The Big Freeze Winter Festival!

June 5, 2017 by Stacey 8 Comments

come along to The Big Freeze Winter Festival, the best place to see snow right in the middle of Melbourne | Veggie Mama

Love snow but not sold on the idea of being wet and cold? Same! The Big Freeze Winter Family Festival has got exactly what we’re looking for, snowy fun without the frozen toes and tire chains.

Wander through a magical winter village picture-postcard-style right in the middle of Melbourne, and stroll through the snowball forest during the winter school holidays at this super-fun fest. Toss a snowball, play in the snow pit or shoot down the snow slide before the kids tackle the active challenge, polar bear slide, circus skill workshops, construction zones, and art and craft activities in the igloo zone (glitter that isn’t all over your carpet! SOLD).

Each day between July 1 and 9 has three play sessions, and the Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday afternoon play sessions also include a stage show from 1:30pm – 2:30pm before entry to winter wonderland precinct. Yay!

I’m giving away one family pass (two adults and two children) to the Tuesday July 4 9am – 11:30am session to one lucky winner!

All you have to do is tell me in the comments on this post below your favourite snow memory – was it snow for real? Was it a dream? Did you just really love the snowy mansion in Home Alone all lit up for Christmas?

The competition ends Monday June 19 at 8pm. This is a game of skill, and the winner will be judged on merit. One entry per person, and this contest is open worldwide. You can find the full terms and conditions here.

My favourite memory is when I saw snow falling for the first time. I was 14, in a first floor hotel room in Copenhagen on a family holiday. It was morning, and Carol King’s “You’ve got a friend” was playing on the radio. Seeing the different shapes of the snowflakes, and the view of the city was magical to a girl from Perth, who’d never seen it snow before.

My favourite memory is when I was in Europe on a White Xmas holiday and I saw my snowflake from the top floor of our hotel. It was so magical and I just wanted to share it with all my loved ones. It was below zero degrees and I just wanted to go outside and catch a snowflake so I could tel all my friends about my experience.

My favorite snow memrory was a few years back before I had my own children. We went on a family picnic to lake mountain to see the snow. We were going through the booth to pay our car entry fee and my neice Miss 2 pipes up “I want chicken nuggets ” thinking the booth was a takeout venue. That was many years ago now I have three of my own child ren that I’d love to take to the big freeze.

I had just met the love of my life and was so excited to introduce him to my sister and tell her our plan to get married. Unfortunately she didn’t quite share our excitement and actually went a little “icy crazy” just because I’d only met him that day. Anyway she turned our whole town to ice and snow and to cut a long story short it led me to spending a lot of time in the snow and eventually finding the true love of my life – the handsome Kristoff. Oh whoops no so sorry!!! Just realised that didn’t happen to me!!! Have just watched Frozen so many times I sometimes get confused. Would love to make some of my own family memories in the snow 🙂

My daughter awoke and I opened her curtains, it was a frosty morning and she said ‘Elsa has been!’. The window was frosty and the grass too, now everything it’s frosty outside we know Elsa has visited =)

My favourite snow memory was in Canberra when I was there last year during winter. It was amazing since I never experienced the snow before in my life. I was there only for couple of days for work, therefore I could not able experience it further.
