Blogger virtual christmas party

December 15, 2012 by Stacey 14 Comments

social media christmas

Wanna come? I sort of miss work christmas parties – at my work we only have one during the day for a couple of hours, so that doesn’t count. Plus I’m on maternity leave so that even more doesn’t count. We all know blogging can be a bit isolating and we’re all over the place. We might catch up here and there for christmas-related christmas things, but a lot won’t and this is the next best thing. You don’t even have to be a blogger – you can be a SAHM, a WAHM, or a WHAM! fan. You can be anything you like… you’re all welcome.

Jump on whatever social media suits you the best – on Twitter with the hashtag #bloggerxmas, on my facebook page, or here on the blog in the comments section. I’ll set up a post on Tuesday night where we can chat and hang and awkwardly spill drinks on each other.

If you’re going to be on Twitter, may I please suggest Twitterfall. Sign in with your Twitter login, put #bloggerxmas in the search bar, and watch the tweets in the thread drop down into your screen in real time. WAY more fun and user-friendly than pressing that damn refresh button 95 times a minute.

Invite your friends, whomever you like. Get Corey Worthington on the phone. Get dressed up if you want to, pour a wine/beer/juice/himalayan mountain water and get ready to party. If I don’t end up with a lampshade on my head, I want my money back.

    Such a great idea Stacey!
I miss attending work Xmas parties too. As bad as they usually are, the people are fun.

Parties where I can drink gin and tonics in my pjs are the best!
I wonder how slurring my words will come across on Twitter!
