Cocoon Couture / Cotton On Kids bean bag giveaway! {ended}

December 6, 2013 by Stacey 53 Comments

congratulations Lara, Nicole, Sally, Jessie, and Frances!cocoon-couture-beanbags-2Gosh, haven’t bean bags come a long way since the ’70s?! Comfort meets cute in these modern-but-retro Cocoon Couture bean bags, which are made from vintage-inspired fabrics and 100% cotton soft cord fabric.

They have teamed up with Cotton On Kids to run a collaboration featuring two exclusive and three signature designs. We were sent the incredibly adorable owl and the bird, and the others you can see here.
cocoon-couture-bean-bags-3

cute, huh?cocoon-couture-bean-bags-4We’ve dirtied ours already…

Cocoon CoutureΒ began in 2004 when Ingrid and Melanie, two design-loving Aussie mums, got together to create beautiful and inspiring children’s spaces. Their range of wall stickers, room accessories and a bunch of other things have brightened up kid rooms all across the country. They also have one of the cutest websites in all the land!

Our beanbags get used every single day, and are a wonderfully cosy place to read, watch Peppa Pig (heh), or to push your sister onto*.

Cocoon Couture and Cotton On Kids are giving Veggie Mama readers the chance to win one of 5 bean bags for your own little ones. All you have to do is leave a comment about which bean bag you’d like and why. A winner will be chosen on the basis of that comment next Friday December 13 at noon Queensland time. Australian residents only, sorry. Five winners will each win one bean bag (beans not included). Winners will be emailed and announced here on this post.

The bean bags are worth $59.95 each, although they are on sale online at Cotton On Kids for $41.96. Party on!

Good luck! I bet you know someone who will just love one of these.

*not recommended. Try telling that to my kids, though.

Ooh I love these, I saw them in Cotton On Kids the other day. They are all cute, but I am partial to the deer! I’m trying to get back into the habit of reading to Minnie every day, and this would be the perfect place to snuggle up with a good book, as your gorgeous girls clearly demonstrate!

    Ooooh I love these
My 14 month year old boy has just started bringing books over too me and ” telling ” aka grunting and hitting me in the leg until I read to him. This would be perfect for our impromptu and frequent story sessions.
The red is my pick easier to hide the frequent and impromptu stains of a toddler.

I love the deer but aren’t they all beautiful! My 8 month old daughter has just discovered that whilst books are tasty to chew on, it’s much more fun reading them. These beanbags are the perfect place to snuggle in for a read… or a chew.

The deer is cute but would have to say the Green one with the dreamy owl, adorable! London (2) loves owls & green is my fave colour. They really would be the perfect reading/peppa pig viewing seat, do they make them in adult size! πŸ˜‰

I would love the red mini monkey for my 2 little monkeys (a girl and a boy) since they will be sharing it… ie fighting over it and no doubt pushing each other onto-and off- it!! These are just gorgeous and would fit perfectly in their primary colours room!

I would love the green bean bag for my three monkeys to fight over! Last year for Christmas I was to make my two eldest (5 & 2) bean bags. I cut out the downloaded pattern for both. Started sewing, realises I had misread and now we have one banana boat shaped beanbag… It’s not much fun!
πŸ™‚ maybe I will attempt it again..

The green dreamy owl is divine. My 2 year old will be moving into her new “big girl” room after Christmas to make way for her new little brother and this would perfectly complete the reading nook I’ve planned for her. Her favourite bed-time story is “Owl Babies”, so she would be much excited to have an owl friend to cuddle into and hoot at while we read! (Although I’m sort of hoping she’ll have a new favourite by then….while “Owl Babies” is a great book it becomes a little tarnished after the 100th reading!)

I would love the red mini monkey for my 4 year old son Connor who has just outgrown his day nap. (I know I’ve been lucky) His younger siblings still nap so we have a deal- Connor can read quietly while they are asleep as much as he likes πŸ™‚ This would be great to go in his room and give him somewhere comfy other than his bed to read πŸ™‚

The green owl one that your darling Abby is sitting on! (however, maybe that exact one, I’m sure my daughter would like to dirty her own) because green is her favourite colour, and she needs a nice comfy place to sit and birdwatch out of her window, sitting on birds watching birds, you get that kinda humour, right? πŸ˜‰

I saw these on a recent email from Cotton On and confess that I feel in love. With all of them. I’m a bean bag girl since the 70s and I love them all! Perfect for reading a book, nestling in for a sleep, or (more recently) playing on the iPad. Navy blue for my dirty boys though. And monsters, because they love them more than birds and owls… x

I have been eyeing off these gorgeous beanbags forever. And today, by chance, I discovered that they are now available at Cotton On Kids. With 30% off, I couldn’t resist buying a couple for my kids (I’m over those horrible fold-out kids sofas that always lose their shape…Cocoocn Couture bean bags look so much more durable, comfortable and gorgeous). But alas, when my husband got home, he asked why I hadn’t bought a third (poor third child…always missing out). So, I’m sure my darling 20 month old daughter would love the watermelon little robin (because I do) to go with her big sister and brother’s green dreamy owl and navy King Kurtis.
