And so the interest in various foods continues. I’m taking this opportunity to really get creative before it disappears again in favour of foods that are only white, or some other weird specification. Am also introducing her to various things we eat for breakfast on the weekend as she sits at the table with us. She says “ta?” and opens her little mouth expectantly (omg how cute), so I use that time to give her a taste of feta or roasted tomato or spinach or something she might shy away from on her own plate.
Cinnamon-raisin bagel with cream cheese and frozen berries. Once they thaw they’re super soggy so I give them to her half-thawed. Oh the mess when I don’t!
Super-fluffy banana pikelets (recipe here), organic berry yogurt and halved grapes. She ate almost this whole batch on her own.
Soft-boiled egg and wholegrain toast soldiers. I ended up smearing the egg on the toast to make it easier for her to eat. She loved it.
Crumpet, jam, raisins and Nutri-Grain. Big fan of all.
English muffin with cheese, halved grapes. A favourite.
So much win so far. Fingers crossed she keeps it up!
