It looks a little more messy over here. I take care of two boys (six & seven years old) and a one year-old girl. π But even the baby has been picking up her own mess lately. Hahah
For the seventy-twelfth time this year, I have changed the sheets and carried the laundry to the washer. Even more worser, I HATE putting it away after I have folded it-which is not my fave chore either. And of course hadda remake the bed. The cleaning fairies are on vacay again.
my last load still sits atop my dresser-waiting for Godot to put them away !~!
Again and again
Some people in the crowd wake up.
They have no ground in the crowd
They emerge according to broader laws.
They carry strange customs with them,
and demand room for bold gestures.
The future speaks ruthlessly through them.
MIne are 13 and 12 and their rooms could make the most stoic cry – stuff everywhere. And the cupboards? Don’t open them, it’s avalanche territory! Thanks for the pix, took me down memory lane for my two xo
My boys are very similar ages to your girls, so there are little toys and balls everywhere, always. But what drives me coocoobananas is the cushions never stay on the couch! OMG! Arrrggghhhh!
Sorry ’bout that.
Also, we can’t seem to keep textas around for more than 5 minutes, coz my youngest (almost two) loves biting the ends off.
Sigh. Lucky they’re cute…
Ha our cushions are ok, but everything that ever gets put on a table or bench ends up on the floor. And I’ve tried and banned textas about 12 times already. SO sick of putting the lids back on! Once I find them, of course…
I constantly have dinosaurs joining me on the coffee table & currently have a toy fire truck sitting on my kitchen bench. There is a monkey soft toy in my hand bag & I have a Giggle & Hoot umbrella that I use (because I can’t find mine). I drink out of a Gruffalo plastic cup and sometimes (accidently) use the Wiggles toothpaste.
…..but I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world!
I have a dog, who leaves his toys all over my house and attempts to bring the outside inside when im not looking, I often wonder if its this bad with the dog god help me when I have kids!
haha!! Just wait til they are old enough to get themselves dresses, but NEVER shut a sock, knicker or pj drawer and never ever shut the wardrobeβ¦. I find knickers, socks, etc at the bottom of the wardrobeβ¦. They put clean clothes in the dirty wash basket, and spend 1/2 in the shower if you let them! And that’s just miss nearly 10. Miss 5 still leaves crap everywhere, I’m in the middle!! LOL!!
Ha i’m actually wondering about what will happen then! I’ve heard of people not even folding the clothes, just being happy with them in the drawer. I think I will do that!
Picking up the entire container of lego – which has been tipped out just so that he can hear the sound of all the lego hitting the ground – something which Daddy taught him (because Daddy’s dont pick up lego 50000 times a day).
Mate my house is a fucking tip most of the time. Blake is a kid who likes to pull aaaaalllllll the things out of aaaallllll the places. Plus my big two are always leaving socks & shoes on the floors or food stuffs on the bench. I’m over picking things up 20 gazillion times a day so now it just gets cleaned once Blake goes to bed so the only people who get to enjoy a clean house are the ghosts my 14 year old swears we have. I hope they like it.
Yep, that’s pretty much how I roll. It’s a mess all day. Literally when the kids see me putting something away they just pull it out again. I am typing this surrounded by every toy from every container in Smalls’s room.
Toys everywhere, DVDs taken out of drawers and crayons rolled under furniture. I wait till hubby comes home to pick it all up because I can’t bend down in my present state! And while it can be annoying, it’s evidence of being a mum to little people and I love them to bits!
I was looking at the 100D (Rebel 1ish, I think??) because I want something small.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Rebels/ EOS. In fact we have a 10 year old EOS inherited from my dad we had to retire a few years ago so we still have the lenses and flash unit, we just need a new body
I actually think the 550 is a pretty good size, it’s quite small. It also has video, which I thought was pretty important as I was about to have kids. Who knew i’d just use my phone every single day…
Picking up the tipped out crayons! They are currently scattered everywhere over the lounge floor. Meanwhile, where did you buy the Frozen alphabet book. I’m going to need on of those.
The kid sprawl I can mostly handleβ¦I actually think it is fun to open the fridge and find a dinosaur stashed in there.
It is the food mess I cannot stand. I swear my kid has not gotten any better at eating over the past two years! Why can’t he just get the food in his mouth? And not all over the placemat, chair and floor! I am so sick of wiping things down and cleaning up the kitchen!
Ah I know all too well the trail of destructo baby! On another note-is that a toy wooden sink?! And if so, do you know the brand? It’s cute! My little homemaker would love one.

It wouldn’t be so pretty if I photographed the mess!
Good baby !~! How do you get them to do that besides modeling it by cleaning it up your self ?~! Bet you see your share of Legos huh?

seventy-twelve is my new lucky number
I HATE PUTTING THE CLOTHES AWAY! They’re clean, isn’t that ENOUGH!

Haha poor old Godot. never shows up when needed.

If they’re anything like what I was at that age… ouch.

Ha is the wiggles toothpaste good? we have some strawberry one from the dentist’s and I can’t help swiping a bit now and then too!
I have a dog, who leaves his toys all over my house and attempts to bring the outside inside when im not looking, I often wonder if its this bad with the dog god help me when I have kids!
Ha I have no patience with dogs!
Your kids live here in a much, much tidier fashion than my kids live here… x
That would be true if these photos represented every single aspect of my children’s filthy lives…

I am finding that MPS is getting just as bad as the damn kids. Every morning I wake up and clean up his nocturnal activities…
food wrappers, dishes, damn shoes and socks.
(I know what you were thinking, you dirty bird)
YOU KNOW I DID! And now I want to read Misery for the 3204839857th time.

Oh god, every single thing under the furniture. Everything.
4 kids under 6 ? What d’ya reckon?? π is it terrible that I’m looking forward to the empty nest syndrome??
Haha nope, I’d be right there with you! Imagine the quiet!
The house with 1 kid = messy. Though we have been working hard at packing up everything before dinner, which worked a treat tonight.
I really need to be more proactive about that!
Aww kitty! Such capturing shots Stacey! x
I’ve been trying to look at it more objectively lately. Cameras are fun!
Out of interest, what do you have? I’m itching to buy a camera that a) focuses and b) lets me do a bit more
Ooh, I have a Canon Rebel T2i, which is the American version of a Canon 550D. I really like it. 50mm lens!
I was looking at the 100D (Rebel 1ish, I think??) because I want something small.

Picking up blocks! And those triangle blocks realllllly hurt your feet
haha they do too. Pretty much anything my kids have hurt my feet!
Putting the DVDs back on the shelf because the baby thinks it’s funny to pull them all down. Over and over and dearMOTHEROFMERCY!!!!!
Hahaha we’ve been doing that too! And yet I still put them in order of Kids DVDs, Kids Blu-Ray, other DVDs… I am mental.
I’ll be honest, by the end of the day most of mine don’t even have the spines facing forwards.
I’m on the verge of caring about 0% and just chucking them in…
Do it!! Turn to the dark side!!! π
I think I’m going to have to! Is there a cape I can wear?
Picking up the tipped out crayons! They are currently scattered everywhere over the lounge floor. Meanwhile, where did you buy the Frozen alphabet book. I’m going to need on of those.
It’s a printable – the link is in this post! http://theveggiemama.com/2014/06/activities-toddlers-round-up/

Oh man… I know what you mean. Pepper is pretty good now, but it was chaotic there for a while… so much cleaning of the floor and god knows what else.
It never fails to amaze me how quickly my 1.5 year old can TRASH the playroom! In the blink of an eye!
Ah I know all too well the trail of destructo baby! On another note-is that a toy wooden sink?! And if so, do you know the brand? It’s cute! My little homemaker would love one.
Yes it’s a whole kitchen with oven too! From ecotoys.com.au
