It’s been quiet here, huh? I’ve had a lot on my mind (and on my to-do list) so I’ve been re-evaluating some stuff. I still don’t know what I’m doing, or where I’m going, but I think I may arrive at a conclusion soon. I think. I hope!
While my brain’s been whirring and my heart’s been AWOL, I’ve just been trundling along, doing the mundane and finding relief in its mindless usefulness.
flower exchange. They don’t take money for their beautiful blooms, just swap for something else useful that they need.
I needed flowers (shut up I did) and they needed dishcloths. Thoughtful consumerism at its best.
A friend of mine also gave me a couple of kilos of homegrown tomatoes, so I’ve topped up my mason jar collection, and have lots of passata/barbecue sauce/pasta sauce/enchilada sauce/salsa in my near future, to join the ketchup and relish in the pantry. I love this time of year!
poncho is DONE!), the warm-weather walks, the trips to the library, the cooking, the binge-watching random TV shows (Alaskan Bush People and Benefits Britain, anyone?), and the intentional wasting of time has all been good for the soul. I don’t quite know what to do with VM yet, but I’m sure the answer will present itself. Just one more episode of T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.
