Everything in my head, in list form.
Making : Ermagherd you gers, I finished the angry blanket! And a sweet little pom pom ear flap cap for a baby and I’ve started a new baby blanket for a gift and holy shit do I hate making pom poms.
Cooking : Lots of black bean tacos/enchiladas with my stash of canned enchilada sauce I made earlier in the year, muffins, chocolate slice and some weird soup I was craving the morning after the night before…
Drinking : a very nice NZ white that I can’t remember.
Reading : I finished the Diana biography, and am chasing up the tail end of a Dr Phil one before I move onto the next book in my challenge – Dark Half, by Stephen King. Also halfway through Cheryl Strayed’s Wild on the iPad. I poke around it a bit here and there.
Wanting : Someone else to do the shopping. I did mine today and it was epic and I need a lie down. On the upside, we’re fully stocked in toilet paper and crackers for Y2K.
Looking : At eBay. Have rekindled my love. Also forced to shop for shoes this week and while I loathe it, I did come out with two very awesome pairs.
Playing : Hi Ho! Cherry-O.
Wasting : Not much these days. Even the leftovers’ leftovers get eaten.
Sewing : Nowt.
Wishing : It wasn’t so cold.
Enjoying : Wine.
Waiting : For the little’uns to go to bed as I have a date with Bailey’s ice cream and UK Gogglebox HOLY SHIT I HAVE NOT LAUGHED THIS HARD IN SOOOO LONNGNGGNGNGNGNGGGGGGG #hashtagscarlett #hashtagthegermanguy
Liking : Sorry, but I’m totes into the Christmas spirit right now. I can’t wait!
Wondering : Who will start complaining about that first.
Loving : Peak Cuteness.
Hoping : That the children go to sleep reasonably fast.
Marvelling : That I’ve survived two years without a dishwasher. Well, technically I’ve survived 33 of my 35 years without one, but that two years I had one was gloooorious. But I haven’t missed it as much as I thought I would.
Needing : To stop frowning at screens.
Smelling : Some body lotion I got from a hotel room that I have been using as a hand cream.
Wearing : ACTIVE WEAR, I’M SORRY! I’ve never seen that video but I know what it says. I do wear my active wear because I’m actually active in it! But now I’m slightly concerned that people will think I’m (more of) a twit getting around in it all day instead of just lazy (which I am. I also hate laundry). Grey Nike singlet, Black Sportscraft jumper, Calvin Klein leggings, Neon Pink Nikes. So sue me.
Following : Just new friends.
Noticing : I left the washing in the machine. Damn.
Knowing : I need to put the bread on.
Thinking : I’ll probably forget that too.
Feeling : Tahred. Got up early to be active, haha.
Bookmarking : Ummmmm I just pinned these Halloween colouring pages.
Opening : My new car. I’ve unofficially called it the Neo-Maxi Zoomdweebie because when we were looking at Mazda CX-3s, we could choose between the Neo or the Maxx. And because Bender 4 Lyf.
Giggling : At everything Anthony Michael Hall ever says in that movie. Phythicsphysics club.
Listening : This. Which I thought for sure I would hate but fuck it, I can’t. Slightly obsessed. Much hypnotic.
What’s happening with you?
I’ve been meaning to ask you about your fave royal bios/books. I know you’re a royals tragic and I want some recommendations for good books!!
I’ve been wearing my activewear a lot lately as well. Actually, just the leggings because my tops are not really designed for easy boob access (for breastfeeding… Not to just whip them out for funsies. Promise). But I’m going for walks everyday so that’s active enough in my books to warrant it.
hahah that would be a sight! I know what you mean though, those tops are a bit restrictive in that regard. I just finished The Diana Chronicles by Tina Brown and while I thought she was unfair at times and the ending was wayyyy TMI, it was a good read. The original Diana: In Her Own Words has to be read if you haven’t already and I didn’t mind the Paul Burrell ones even if he’s a nut. if you can get your hands on The Housekeepers Diary by Wendy Berry, it’s a doozy (she was almost jailed for contempt of court for publishing it!). As far as Lizzie is concerned, I liked Elizabeth R by Elizabeth Longford, and I’m about to start Fergie Ferg’s memoir. (The Charles biography by Jonathan Dimbleby is for true fans only, it’s a behemoth and not very interesting)
Working, and working, and working. But when I go out into my garden I’m standing still, closing my eyes and taking in deep smells of all the pretty flowers. Then I go back to working…. You’ve inspired me to don active wear tomorrow (you really must see the video). I’m taking Mr4 to his Kinder Gym class. That’s active isn’t it? x
But I hate videos! I only watch them if Drake is dancing weirdly in them. It took me six months to watch the Katering show. I’m allergic to video.
Related: I need a garden.
This past week I have discovered that ‘point and click’ installation does not equal ‘Rachael can’t fuck it up’, that a plugin is more than one of those things you stick in a power point to cover up the smell in that one room of the house that always smells a bit funky (welcome back to the land of rentals…), and I made my own baking powder, because I obviously do not get out enough.
haha I tried to make my own baking powder (lord knows I use enough of it) and it didn’t work and I didn’t bother again! but I should. that shit is expensive. I also know what you mean about installations, I avoid them wherever possible!
I came back to say I joined in too http://www.mrsrodimus.com/my-life/taking-stock/ BTW, my baking powder didn’t work well either, and it was if I could taste it, very chalky and in a not-rising kind of way.
Dude, what muffins are you making? Muffins are one of my nemesis foods- always dry & never live up to expectation- but I think they are great lunchbox foods so I keep trying & keep failing .
mmmm kind of a variation of this one: http://theveggiemama.com/2015/02/blueberry-chocolate-chip-muffins/
HOTLINE BLING!
hahaha I love it so much
I’m on a Hotline Bling trip too!! So much so that I’ve been doubling up with Art of Sleeping’s version.
*googling Art of Sleeping*
Love me a Taking Stock post! I’m also waiting for Christmas, opening all the cookbooks I borrowed from the library and wondering how I ever had time to go to work now I’m a stay at home person.
Aye, I love those library cookbooks!
I’m trying to organise my posts for the next two months – I’m normally a blog by the seat of my pants type of girl. I’m hoping that this will make my blogging experience a little less stressful and hopefully give my readers what they want. I’m also enrolling Mr Moo into swimming lessons – I’ve found some where I don’t need to get into the pool with him {which is awesome as I didn’t know how it would work with two kids in the water together}.
I’m all about reducing stress!
Just quietly I love Gogglebox too!
And now that I have a dishwasher, unloading it is one of my least favourite chores. Spoiled I know.
And your reading list reminds me that I need to get some books out for a little trip to the beach we have coming up…I want to read Mindy Kaling’s Why Not Me.
ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh I hated unloading. I really did. Also, I cannot touch glasses that have been through the dishwasher.
As an aside, do you still have the Housekeeper’s Diary I gave you? I think I need to read it again…
Am I the only one that thinks Drake is dancing around like a little old man who has just popped his first viagra??
