Oh my goodness. What a royal fortnight it was, filled with the most out-there rumours, conspiracy theories, and fanfic gone bad. I thought last fortnight was ridic? Then the internet just went and outdid itself.
The only thing anyone has wanted to talk about though, is THE BABY.
As I write this, baby Sussex has indeed not made an appearance. We were told she was due in the spring (which it is) and Meghan herself said “late April/early May” (which it um… is) and the palace told us they would let the world know when Meghan was in labour. Which they haven’t yet because she’s not yet. Overdue? Perhaps. Probably. Longest pregnancy ever? Feels like it. Much different to what happened with Kate? Not really, except everyone seems to have gone insane this time.

Needless to say, Bevvo and I spent quite a bit of time discussing how the media fuels these narratives that suit their purposes, and how easy it is to get sucked into thinking these rumours are fact. We are fed crap, crap gets circulated, and nek minnit we forget what we know and believe the crap instead.
The world breathed a collective sigh of relief seeing Kate and Haz together at Westminster Abbey when mere hours prior they were scrutinising 90 seconds of footage to “prove” Harry and William aren’t speaking and that Big Billy was shipping the power couple off to Africa to get them out of his spotlight because the wives just don’t get along. Cue my extreme eye roll.

In other topics, we discuss William’s trip to New Zealand, Charlotte’s fourth birthday, Charles’s Easter message, Charles and Camilla’s wedding anniversary, very specific details about the Sussex Royal insta (and our thoughts on whether it’s Mama Meg behind the captions) and all the other good royal bits that keep us coming back time and time again.
Oh and of course it was Our Maj’s 93rd birthday. 93!
She is such a gift.

As usual, Beth is interested in flora so we discussed the nosegays that get a run at the Maundy Service, what actually is the Maundy Service, and why Eugenie got a callup to go to church with granny on the day.
We also cover off listener questions like who is our favourite royal and why? What’s our favourite piece of royal memorabilia? How do we really feel about Meghan scrolling through Insta? How is Harper’s Bazaar getting all the Sussex scoops? Some solid Qs in this episode, we love it when they roll in!
Oh and I thoroughly recommend going and following the Duchess Kate Blog on Instagram, who has just started a new account. The blog is a long-time favourite and I’m looking forward to getting all the Insta goodness too!

Once more for the people in the back 😉
