I was watching an American breakfast news program this week, and they did a segment on the White House chefs losing a significant amount of weight with some healthy changes, despite working on pastries and sugary dainties at work. Then they cut to a picture of a batch of oatmeal-raisin cookies straight out of the oven. Once I stopped drooling over the size of the oven, I realised it had been too long since I made those cookies. That’s why they’re in our lunchboxes this week!
If you ain’t never had one, or they don’t sound like your thang, check out this recipe and my long road to acceptance.
