5 Free Printable Playdough Mats

November 7, 2014 by Stacey 13 Comments

I really felt like I was nailing this motherhood thing when I started making my own playdough. When I bought a laminator, I cemented my position. Then I combined the two for printable playdough mats that I found on Pinterest, and I felt like I could retire, top of my game.

Well, you can’t retire from motherhood, especially when your kids are only two and three. Someone’s gotta be there to cut the crusts off and nobody can navigate the toilet without your help, it would appear. So when you need five minutes’ peace, print off some mats, laminate them (if you want), and let those kiddies go nuts. Sometimes, there’s even learning involved. Someone should give you a medal 😉

And if you don’t want to make your own playdough (I use this recipe), then I’m all about you buying it. I’m all about you doing whatever the hell you want!

So some of the free playdough printables we like are:

Number Playdough Mats // Homeschool Creations

Dora Tot Book // 1+1+1=1 (with matching games, colouring sheets, all sorts of fun stuff)

People Playdough Mats // Picklebums

Rainbow Pompom Template (I know it’s for pompoms, but would be cute for playdough too).

Carrots for the Rabbit // PreKinders

I always feel like I’m rocking the parenting gig when I get out the play dough too! 🙂 Must get my act together and make a new set of mats – we’ve done people, food and garden so far, ask your gorgeous kids what else they’d like!

Wicked. The Vicklets are bonkers about playdough even though they only get it out and virtually just look at it. These will blow their tiny little minds. Thanks

Haha that’s a step up from mine getting it out and eating it! No matter how salty I made it.

Ooo these do look good. And really, anything to make me feel like I’m succeeding at motherhood. With our next babe due to arrive any minute, I’m on the hunt for simple things for the kids to do so they don’t notice so much that mama is slightly (massively) distracted. Thanks a bundle. X
