Recently I was ferreting around under the sink for something I couldn’t find. I was hungry, and a bit annoyed. Nothing in particular, just one of those days.
Then everything fell out of the cupboard and onto the floor.
“Bugger”, I said absentmindedly.
“Mum!” said Abby. “You orright?”
Oh man. The cute. “Yes, Abby”, I say. “I’m orright”.
“need cuddoo?”
“Yes thank you Abby, I’d love a cuddle”.
“Iss ok mum”, she says, patting my back.
This kid… she’s learning empathy. And being kind to others.
Safe to say I forgot to be annoyed after that.
Cuteness! Those moments are the best!
Beautiful…
She’s beautiful Stacey – big gorgeous brown eyes like my Mia:) I love those moments when everything else is stripped away – the million things that are going on in your head in the same second – and it’s still and meaningful and sigh-worthy xox
Oh those eyes… they’re gonna get me in trouble 🙂
Those eyeballs! What a beauty x
hey, what a nice human you are growing there! Also, your girl and my girl will never be allowed in the same room together. People will die of the eyelashes. :)sarah
haha watch out, world!
Oh beautiful girl. Precious precious moments
That is absolutely gorgeous, I was a bit annoyed a few minutes ago… and now I’m not! Thanks Abby 🙂
She has a habit of that 🙂
That just shows you what a great job you’re doing in the parenting department xx
Oh how lovely, thank you!
My little girl does the same thing! “You orright Mum?” I just about die every time she says it! 🙂
Such caring little souls! She says it when i cough now too 🙂
Awww. Bless her. x
And then they start doing it in Japanese and you suddenly realise just how grown up they’re becoming… The heart-swelling pride suddenly gets mixed with heart-squeezing disbelief at how big your babies are.
Oh boy that would kill me dead on the spot.
That is beautiful Stacey ,love hearing stories like that ,but don’t say bugger too much or Abby will too,my husband said dickhead in the car once ,guess what my sons favourite word was ? Yep Dickhead and it took him ages to stop it ,but we laughed at first but when they start saying it to their Nan it isn’t too funny!
Haha I have a real problem with that… need to clean up my language!
That’s so sweet!
She kills me on the daily.
Beautiful.
It’s the little things like this that make motherhood such a gift 😉
Oh aren’t they wonderful!
She is so lovely.
Can I have a cuddoo Abby?
Of course!
Ooh nothing better than a lovely cuddoo
I could go one right now, actually.
That’s the cutest!
She’s the best!
oh, my cold black heart just melted. x
Welcome to my errday.
Love. Learning from her mum I’m sure x
Haha I hope so x
Excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor from all the cute overload.
haha I know, it’s a bit much!
beautiful, love the back pats. <3
So bloody cute.
I love that you are recording these lovely little conversations, my 2 year old is an Abby too! Her favourite line is ‘getting better Mummy’ often accompanied by a kiss wherever I’ve bumped myself.
Lovely little people 🙂
oh fantastic name choice! They’re adorable.
